I really love that motto, 'make it easy, make it fun'. Maybe I'll just borrow this one if you don't mind (in the spirit of making things easy :D)

Borrow away, Betje! Make it easy, make it fun :)

Love this motto Katherine! And love that photo of Leif.

I like Leif. It’s such a Swedish old-man name. 😂 Thank you for offering that webinar! I will definitely look into that one.

Thanks, Ann! We love the name Leif although we have to correct everyone who pronounces it Leaf.

How do you pronounce Leif? I'm guilty of thinking it was like Leaf...

I have indirectly been pursuing the same objective by going through an extensive and conscious effort to discover my Ikigai, or reason for being, but I have not yet gotten to a motto.

I am curious about "Trust the soup" though 😁

Trust the soup was a phrase I got from Steven Pressfield about trusting your subconscious and the mystery/surprise of what comes up for you creatively. I just googled and thought this was a good summary of here https://delcurmudgeon.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/trust-the-soup/

I’ve had a word of the year for a long time, but I can see the benefit of turning it into a whole phrase. My word for 2026 is possibility. I want to focus on optimism and hope as I take a few big projects this year. As for Leif, Emperor Palpatine made me laugh harder. 😆

I like Possibility and the optimism that goes along with it! Emperor Leif says thank you too 🙂

Glad I could help, haha ;)

I've been sharing this motto with others because its such a good one—and definitely an energy I will also be channeling this year!

This is the first time I'm trying to set a motto/intention/imperative/theme for the year, and I've been workshopping one in my mind. Gonna play with it a bit more this week before making it "official," I think. 😉 Thanks for the tips, especially about coming up with a representative drawing (as opposed to just printing out the text and taping it to the top of my monitor).
