Thanks so much for uttering what I, and I suspect lots of other people, feel. Serendipitously I am out of the country and by sheer chance found myself in front of one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta - the no man is above the law document of 1215. It was a reminder how easily good things established can be dis-established.

Wow. The Magna Carta--how special and meaningful!

Makes total sense. I've been wrestling with conflicting feelings all weekend, too. What you and so many other artists did with the ICE Out Comics is, I think, what America is really all about--not a government or a flag but a desire to come together and build something better, whatever form that takes. That's worth celebrating! ✨

Yes, I'm with you on this... hard to celebrate when I know others are suffering and dying. I work hard to maintain hope.

Yes, hope is such an important thing. I work at it too.

Yes. Thank you for sharing this. As only a witness from the outside (and far away) it is appreciated and felt.

I celebrated the anniversary of the USA. I love our country regardless of which party is in the White House. I love America and think it is the best country in the world.

I get that too. I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating, Faith!
