It really has. I've just dug them out and put them in my bag so whenever I have 5 mins or am stuck somewhere, I can ditch the mind-numbing scrolling and open my little art book. Thank you.
Years ago I flew from California to Boston because Harvard was exhibiting their Rothko murals for the first time in decades. Around the same time I traveled to Dallas to see a Van Gogh exhibit at the modern art museum. It was the only museum in the US to display that show.
As someone who gets to experience vacations with a writer/artist spouse, one thing that I love is that I get to tap into my creative side too. Fun for the whole family! (If they’re game, of course).

You are making me consider vacationing however much I hate it. Beautiful drawings!
Ha! Happy to encourage you to vacation, Sal! And thanks for the comments about my drawings!
Beautiful drawings and photos here. You have inspired me to pick up my pad and pen again.
Yay! It makes me so happy to hear that, Jon!

How wonderful! Those are truly art vacations!
I've thought of doing this with poetry too. Such gorgeous drawings!!
You should try! Let me know how it goes, Sarah!
I’ve definitely made stops on vacations to draw or research! I really like getting the sense of a place.
That's a good way of putting it, Audry! it does help to make better sense of a place.
